First Penance and Holy Communion at Scoil Muire gan Smál, Cartown

First Penance and Holy Communion Class, May '09

The first photo on this page was taken during preparation for First Penance and the second on the day of First Holy Communion. Each year the children of 2nd class make their First Penance and receive their First Holy Communion in our local church, The Church of the Assumption, which is next to the school. It is very much a community celebration.
