The Boys' Gaelic Football Team '09 - '10

The Girls' Gaelic Football Team '09 - '10

Cartown N.S. is very proud of its Gaelic football legacy. Our panel of players on the boys' team is drawn from over 30 pupils from 4th, 5th and 6th classes who train weekly with two of the staff's teachers, Ms A. Galavan and Mr. S Reilly.

We have dedicated team players and have many trophies to mark their victories over the years. Please forward to our Achievements page to read more about our Boys' Gaelic team and their brave efforts to regain their 2007 title in the Peadar O'Cearnaigh Cup competition.

The girls in Cartown N.S. are also keen Gaelic football players and fans. Girls from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th train twice a week with two of the staff's teachers, Ms S. McDonald and Mr. G Campbell. They are very dedicated and all really enjoy the game.

In October our girls' Gaelic team won the Cumann na mBunscoil Setanta Cup, a great delight after 3 consecutive years in the final. We are very proud of our Girls' Team and all the hard training they have put in all year. Read more about the match on our Achievements page!
